a thought about copyrighted materials
by actage ini am very new to this board and have already have ready a post mentioning copyright laws in japan.
and have seen the full text of a non-watchtower book be made free to users here.. now i don't mind watchtower magazines being made free here because jws give away their literature all the time anyways.
but when i see a book being offered that must be purchased normally on amazon or waldenbooks i get a little mad.. say someone who visits this board works at a book seller or printer/publisher.

Millenium views? - Pre or Post
by xelder ini've read both of ray franz's books (excellent) and both of carl o. jonsson's (also excellent) after dismantling the wt doctrine of 607 and last days, carl o. jonsson comments on the establishment of christ's kingdom in the year 33. i assume (i think i'm right) that he is supporting a postmillenialist or amillenialist view, as apposed to premillenialism.
can anyone point me to a good source of information and discussion on these various views?
do any of you favor one over another?

for instance, africa is considered to be the cradle of humanity, because the inhabitants have the most genetic diversity.
my question is, how is this explained.

Need help disproving 607BCE
by 2pink ini hope i am posting in the right board.. anyway, i am newly out of the org, and have a dear friend who i've been speaking to all along about my thought process/decisions.
she has been hesitantly receptive (how's that for confusing?!
lol) and when i brought up 607bce to her yesterday, she was truly intrigued and had not heard of this as a false date before.. she is still half in/half out, so i know she isn't going to do a lot of naughty independent research on her own.

Maybe this is the reason I have not heard
by Doug Mason ina short while ago, i asked for comments and criticisms of my understanding of the wts's "bible chronology".. i just realised that possibly i did not get any responses because i had provided the two-page file in .docx format.
so i have resaved the file in .doc format at:.
http://www.jwstudies.com/wts_bible_chronology.doc.

Jehovah and Satan and universal sovereignity - so what?
by DrJohnStMark inwhat really is the biblical support for this major doctrine of the wt society?
when i was still a pioneer, we met a young lady at her door, crying and holding a small disabled baby, asking for an explanation.
my friend, it was his turn at the door, started to mumble something about universal sovereignity.

2 Questions For AGuest : )))
by snowbird ina definition of god that works for me: the supernatural being(s) conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator(s) and ruler(s) of the universe; the object(s) of worship by those who believe thusly.. *i added the parentheticals because i believe there are two beings that make up the one god.*.
1. do you agree with that definition?.
2. what do you believe was the role of the son before his incarnation, and do you believe he is a creature?.
